VAS Pro completed a comprehensive roofing project for a residential building in Sofia using the FALZON® system, one of the most attractive roof and facade solutions in modern construction. The project showcases VAS Pro's comprehensive approach to roofing systems, from the structural layer to the final drainage and aesthetic finishing.
The entire envelope was executed with polyester-coated steel sheet metal in the special RR33 color, with a thickness of 0.6 mm, a rich, deep shade providing both high weather resistance and an expressive appearance. The polyester coating guarantees long-lasting protection against UV radiation, corrosion, and mechanical impact.
The roof is built on a wooden structure. The system is designed as a ventilated roof, ensuring continuous air movement beneath the roof cladding, a key measure for preventing condensation and extending the structure's lifespan. Ventilation is complemented by precisely distributed roof vents integrated into the overall architecture.
The project includes a full set of custom-made sheet metal details. The roof ridge is precisely shaped for maximum water-tightness in the roof's most vulnerable zone, the top horizontal edge where the two roof slopes meet.
Also completed are chimney caps for protection against weather conditions, a louvered vent cap for functional ventilation with controlled airflow, edge caps as finishing details, and sheet metal window claddings for a tight, waterproof connection with the roof covering.
The drainage system includes gutters and downspouts, executed to match the color and material of the roof. The comprehensive drainage solution guarantees effective water discharge during heavy rainfall and a long, maintenance-free service life.
For natural light and ventilation, VELUX GLL (fixed) and VELUX GLU (top-hung with an integrated ventilation system) roof windows were installed, providing a comfortable living environment without the need for maintenance.
